A contemporary stage adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s novel written by playwright Kate Hamill, the play premiered at the Jungle Theater in Minneapolis in 2018. It received its New York premiere at the Cherry Lane Theatre in 2019, is published for production by Dramatists Play Service, and has been widely produced by regional theatres since its debut.
