Growing up in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, Cal found love for all types of music from Rock, Folk, and Blues, to Hip Hop, Jazz, and R&B. It wasn’t until after his collegiate Ice Hockey playing days came to a close that Cal began pursuing a career in music. His sporting background gave him the tools to instill discipline, intention, co-operation, creativity, and persistence into his musical endeavours. This has led him to performing headline shows around the Okanagan (Red Bird Brewing, Revelry Music Hub), releasing two full length albums (Alone in 2025, From The Ground Up in 2026) many singles and collabs, and performing over 300 shows across B.C.
Drawing from influences all over the spatial and temporal world, Cal’s music is rich with soulful melody, lyrical storytelling, hip/hop-style rhythms, and blues-rock guitar phrasing.
He’s constantly blending the worlds of modern and retro in real time with the use of his loop station.
