Everything happens fast in Lima in the summer of 1992. Elena and her young daughters Lucia and Aurora are about to leave Peru. They are apprehensive about saying goodbye to a country, to family and to friends, as well as to Carlos, the elusive father and ex-husband who has all but disappeared from their lives.
